For me, as a freelance storyboard artist, I have received contacts through my website and other social media at times, but for the most part it is by word of mouth. This helps ensure that the client is finding someone like me with experience. I have to adapt my work, the style, the technique, the level of finish, to the needs of each client. It’s a service, and the more I can be helpful, the better. That leads to more referrals by word of mouth.
